Shipseys is a long standing, family run business, founded in 1926. We pride our ourselves in offering a personal, supportive service with our small and professional team, led by Rod and his son, Tim Shipsey. The strong bond that we develop with customers has led to Shipseys being used by the same families for a variety of different events over the years, which makes our work even more rewarding.
Additionally we have strong links with several organisations in the area and Shipseys marquees and equipment have recently been used by Wiltshire Wildlife, Dinton Jazz Festival, Salisbury Arts Festival, Salisbury Cathedral and Wiltshire Council
Our framed marquees are high quality PVC structures based around a peripheral aluminium frame. This style is truly versatile as it can withstand poor weather conditions and therefore can be used all year round. The marquee frames come in varying widths and lengths and can be tailored to your specific requirements. They can be adjoined to buildings if required. Depending on the event the marquee can be lined to your specification (see under linings for details).
Additionally, they can be erected on most surfaces (not just grass) and do not rely on any internal central poles or external guy ropes, allowing for a large internal, uninterrupted space.
This style of marquee provides a ‘vintage’ or more traditional effect using internal central poles and external guy ropes.
The traditional marquee produces a beautiful effect both lined or without lining and are very popular for weddings, balls and parties. The marquees come in varying widths and lengths and can be tailored to your specific requirements.
Chinese hat marquees or pagodas are elegant aluminium framed structures with a distinctive peak to the roof. A single Chinese Hat can be used as a stand-alone structure, joined together or adjoined to a larger marquee.
